Sipro Lab Telecom Inc. is hereby issuing the following call for essential patents reading on ITU G.729.1 standard.

Any company or entity who believes it has patents or patent applications that are necessary to the G.729.1 standard and who wishes to participate in the G.729.1 patent pool is requested to submit its patents or patent applications for essentiality evaluation by an independent third party evaluator by sending an email message to legal@sipro.com.

All submitters that will have received a favorable opinion from the independent evaluator as to their patents’ essentiality will be invited to form the licensing administrative committee for the G.729.1 patent pool. All submitters that will have received a favorable opinion from the independent evaluator as to their patent application’s essentiality will be invited to participate as a member of the licensing administrative committee for the G.729.1 patent pool but their essential patent application will not be part of the pool license until after the relevant patent has been granted and such patent has been reevaluated and declared essential. In order to participate to the first meeting of the licensing administrative committee for G.729.1 standard, you must have submitted your patent for evaluation prior to November 15, 2006.
